The Virmani Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to assisting youth in Canada through a number of programs. We are constantly looking for innovative ways to raise funds for marginalized youth, events which are mutually beneficial for the sponsors and for the recipients.
Please have a look at our past projects.
After a successful multi-year fundraising project with the Erin Mills Youth Centre, we were looking for a new initiative that would support young people to dream big and develop the tools that will allow them to achieve their dreams. As a result of this the Winning Voice Project was conceived.
This project holds a special significance for Monica Virmani, founder of the Virmani Foundation. Monica says, “My own father who experienced immense suffering at refugee camps during the partition of India in 1947, found great solace in music. His most prized possession to date has been his harmonium that he bought with the first few rupees that he earned. I have such fond memories of singing along with his melodies. The sound of music filled my life as I woke up every morning to the grace of spiritual songs. My love and respect for music has grown immensely since I met my musical mentor and teacher, Azalea Ray. Through her music she has encouraged my appreciation for music.” Monica Virmani.
